Frequently asked questions
Everything buyers ask us before their first order. Still stuck? The team replies within one business day.
Are your cards authentic?
Yes. Sealed product comes from distributor allocation, singles are pulled in-house or bought from vetted sources and checked against our five-point intake, and graded slabs have their cert numbers verified with the grader before dispatch.
How do you set your prices?
Our AI market engine blends live guide data and recent verified sold comps from multiple platforms, drops the outliers, and adjusts for condition. The comps are shown on every product page.
Can I make an offer?
On most singles and slabs, yes. Use the Make an offer form on the product page — offers within a sensible range of our price usually get a same-day answer.
How does checkout work?
You reserve the item, we confirm stock and condition, then send a secure invoice. The card stays held in the vault while your invoice is open.
How fast do you ship?
Orders confirmed before 2pm ship the same business day; everything else ships the next business day.
Do you buy collections?
We do. Send photos and a rough list through the contact form and we will come back with an offer or a consignment option.
What is Authenticity Protection and when should I use it?
Authenticity Protection is our white-glove holding service for peer-to-peer sales. We collect the payment, the seller ships, and the funds are only released once you confirm the card matches the listing. Both parties sign a legal agreement and can download a receipt. Fees run 1.5% of the sale, from $9 up to a $150 cap.
Can I talk to a member seller before I pay?
Yes. Every member order can open a buyer confidence session — a scheduled call, live chat or FaceTime with the seller so you can see the card in hand and ask questions. The chat thread stays on your order page, and sellers can keep separate private notes for our staff.
How do member sellers take payment?
Sellers save their preferred handles — Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal or Apple Pay — and trigger a payment request email once your order is confirmed. If you would rather not pay a stranger directly, ask for Authenticity Protection instead.
How do I know a member seller is legitimate?
Every selling member passes a government ID check and a live biometric match before their first listing goes live. Their tier and verification status appear as badges on the listing; names stay private until an order is placed.
What are Live Drops?
Live Drops are live video sessions hosted by verified Pro and Elite sellers. You watch the cards come out of the case on camera, chat with the host and other members in real time, and our scanner reads each card shown so it can be listed the moment the session ends. Drops can be public to all members or invite-only.
Who can host a Live Drop?
Hosting is limited to approved sellers on the Pro or Elite plan. Any signed-in member can watch a public drop and join the chat; private drops are visible only to the emails the host invites.
What is the Trade Floor?
The Trade Floor is card-for-card trading for Elite members. You stage cards from both vaults, add cash to balance the deal, and TradeEdge scores fairness against RareDrop Fair Value before anyone commits. Counters are unlimited, and settlement requires tracking plus confirmation from both sides.
Who can trade on the Trade Floor?
Elite members who have completed ID and biometric verification. Any member can read how it works on the Trade Floor page and upgrade at any time.
What if the card arrives damaged?
Tell us within 14 days with photos of the packaging and the card. We refund or replace, and we cover return shipping when the fault is ours.
